A little background on the story behind the name New California, John and Bobby May both grew up raising cattle in Wisconsin. The May family lived on County O road and the Griswolds were on New California road. The history runs deep, years and miles later they are still good friends and they still rely on each others knowledge of what is going on in the cattle world. Bobby found County O and we are super blessed to be a part of him, it was only fitting that we named the best son we have raised out of the old bull to correspond with the history and nostalgia of his great sire.

We knew from the get go that Boots was special, we knew she had the power to be a changer and leading force but I don't think any of us realized just how much she would do. Her daughters are proving to have the same consistency and power as their dam. Her son's are rugged, masculine, and powerfully constructed, and in enters New California.
